The Elder Scrolls: Blades Will Arrive Fall 2018

The Elder Scrolls: Blades was announced as “A MASSIVE, FIRST PERSON ROLE PLAYING GAME CREATED FOR MOBILE” (yes all in caps) at E3 Today. The creators from Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company are announcing that this mobile version of TES will be available on Android, iPhone and iPad devices later this year. Pre-Registrations are also open.

Although it’s not yet perfectly clear what Elder Scrolls: Blades will actually be, Bethesda are hinting towards city building modes, conquering friends and rivals in epic one-on-one arena battles. So… no it won’t exactly be Skyrim on Android, but they do promise that you can “become your town’s champion through all-new single-player storylines”, so there is that.  There will be a single player story campaign set in the world of Nirn and there is the fact the this company usually delivers good products (even Fallout: Shelter on mobiles), so time will tell. Screenshots look beautiful, but don’t reveal too much.

“We’ve been waiting to play a game like this. The huge first-person RPGs we love to build, but on our phones,” said Todd Howard, Game Director at Bethesda Game Studios. “It’s incredible what we’re able to do now.”

The Elder Scrolls: Blades is created from the ground up for mobile devices, featuring stunning visuals, intuitive touch and swipe controls, and the ability to play the entire game in landscape or portrait mode.
