Splinter Cell Blacklist: Spider-bot released

Following today’s North American release of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist for PC and consoles (Europe will have to wait till Friday), Ubisoft released a free companion-like game for mobile devices as well that will not only provide gameplay on its own, but will also help you unlock gadgets and buffs for the main game.

Splinter Cell Blacklist: Spider-bot puts you in control of the latest most advanced infiltration gadget, engineered by Sam Fisher himself.  The game offers 3 different mini games, the Spider-bot, Stealth-bot and Strike bot. Both the first and the second part involve controlling the spider-bot and collecting intelligence in order to unlock the exit and escape, while the third part “Strike-bot” is a simple top-down shooter where you have to kill everything that moves.

Sam_Fisher_SBLCompleting a level from any of the 3 game modes will grant you points that you can spend in the store in to unlock the gadgets for the main game, but only if you login on the Uplay system, that will also grant you access to community leaderboards.  After you unlock the  Alpha Goggles and Alpha Boots, you can exchange any excess points to get some in-game cash for Splinter Cell Blacklist.

Even if you don’t own the PC or the Console version of the game, give the Spider-bot a chance as the Berserk Strike mode is utterly fun to play. The game is free to download from the link below and features no ads or other annoyances.

UPDATE: Removed from Google Play forever.
