Lego Minifigures Online enters closed beta

Funcom’s upcoming massive multiplayer online game, Lego Minifigures Online, entered the closed beta stage of testing. The game is scheduled to launch in 2014, so plenty of “testing” can be done in the meantime. Lego Minifigures Online will be cross-platform MMO available on Windows, Android, iOS and web browsers. You will get to explore colorful locations such as Pirate World, Space World and Medieval World, develop your character(s) and play with thousands of other LEGO fans online. The game will encourage users to interact with nearly everything, smash stuff or build new ones from ground up.

PvP and Co-op game modes will allow players to face each-other in combat arenas or start an adventure and explore the world together. 100 different characters will be available on launch day to begin with, but Funcom also stated that more content will be added over time.

“Take on quests such as searching for buried treasure in the pirate world, rescuing the kingnapped king in the medieval world, and even helping Zeus himself in the mythology world! “

Lego Minifigures Online will be free-to-play with its own set of Minifigures toy line that will be available at same time. If you are interested in signing up for the closed beta, follow the link below. Keep in mind that not everyone gets accepted, in which case you will have to wait for the open-beta testing stage. The game is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2014.
