Set in outer space, the game revolves around three races. The Ensarti, the Zoltarians and the Terrans are all fighting for supremacy across the galaxy. Gameplay-wise, players will fight battles by controlling their capital ship, four escort vessels with tactical skills and up to six combat units. Units will cost energy to produce, which will regenerate depending on the environmental features. Battles are tactical oriented and the outcome will depend on releasing the right units and using the right skills at the right time.

Completing the story mode in Galactic Frontline will yield a significant amount of rewards that players can use to upgrade parts of their fleet as they see fit. Gathering energy and producing combat units is an essential part of the game.

The game also has five PvP maps, Arena, Kuiper Belt, Zoltarian Outpost, Ion Storm and Ensari Temple. Each map offers unique features and will require players to adapt their strategies.

Finally, there is a ranking battle mode and tournaments. Players can climb the ranks from bronze all the way to legend an earn valuable rewards in the process. Tournament mode happens each week and rounds up the top 32 players worldwide, who can fight for the Champion title.
