Pidgeon Pocket, pigeons on pickpocket duty
Pidgeon Pocket is available on Android, putting a flock of pixel pigeons to work stealing coins from park visitors. A noble cause.
Created by Javier Lianes García under Lianes8 Studio, this incremental game revolves around short rounds of aiming birds at unsuspecting people, chaining swoops into combos and spending the proceeds on a better flock.
The game placed second in the Audience Award at Madrid Otaku 2026, five votes behind the winner. The developer also describes its pixel art as hand drawn without AI, accompanied by an original soundtrack called The Coo Job.
Organised cooing
Each pigeon carries a superpower that charges as it collects coins. Gale doubles flying speed, Ricochet sends a bird bouncing toward another pocket, and Cop Nap puts nearby guards to sleep. There are 20 powers with five levels each, with up to three running at once.
The park has five visual themes, including Halloween, Christmas, Neon Night and Feudal Japan. Nine events, such as concerts, marathons and film shoots, vary the activity around you. Guards can intervene and a caught pigeon loses its current haul.
Nesting on Android
The Android version is free with ads and an optional purchase to remove them. Nothing progresses while the app is closed, so this is not an idle game.
Steam Early Access will arrive on November 9. Android and iOS are already available, while the announced Steam 1.0 release is January 7, 2027.
The premise, at least, is easy to understand: everyone else came to the park to relax. Your pigeons came to work.
