The Android version of Celtic Heroes is out

Independent Glasgow based studio One Thumb Mobile announced that their Android port of Celtic Heroes is finally ready to be downloaded from the Play Store. The game was originally released 3 years ago on the iOS platform and has been quite popular ever since.

Celtic Heroes is a open-world 3D MMO set in the mythical world of Dal Riata. Players will have to protect their peaceful homeland by engaging the forces of the evil god Crom. New recruits will have to venture across strange places, explore the world, level up and gather the best equipment available before they can stand a chance fighting the ultimate evil.

Celtic Heroes offers 5 playable classes – warrior, rogue, ranger, mage and druid that can be freely customized by choosing their hairstyle, appearance, size and skin color before entering the vast Highlands populated with thousands of other players. Once inside, players can proceed to play the game alone, join some of the player clans available or create their own. No MMO is complete without a functional PvP system and luckily, Celtic Heroes offers both player vs player battles and combat duels. Furthermore, players can join clans to compete against rivals in real-time battles and trade items with other clan members.

Since we have a huge range of devices with different specs “under the hood”, all of them running different Android versions, the developers implemented a customizable graphics menu. This feature will provide the best visual appearance to players using high-end devices, while still maintaining compatibility with older phones and tablets struggling to dish-out decent framerate on maximum settings.

Celtic Heroes is IAP supported title and can be downloaded from the Play Store for free, but there are no giant pay-walls standing in your way. The in-game currency can be acquired by playing and store purchases are there for those players that simply want to progress faster. The game requires around 500 mb of free storage space and considering the amount of content you get and the huge 3D world of Celtic Mythology, that seem quite reasonable.
