MiniDeck adds Jellyfin and easier game port installs

November 8, 2026

MiniDeck has expanded to ten apps for the Miyoo Mini Plus on OnionOS 4.4. The update adds Jellyfin playback with MiniFin, game port installation through MiniMart and storage cleanup tools in MiniTop.

MiniFin streams movies and shows from your Jellyfin server using the Miyoo’s hardware video decoder. The server prepares the stream as H.264 at up to 640 × 480 and 30 FPS with AAC stereo, so video transcoding must be enabled. Jellyfin 10.9 or later is required.

The app supports automatic server discovery, Quick Connect sign-in, Continue Watching, Next Up and offline downloads. It can also reach a server through MiniScale, MiniDeck’s unofficial Tailscale client.

Easy port acquisition

For gaming, MiniMart is the bigger attraction. The dev says its catalogue now includes 27 ports from the MiyooMini-Ports list, with each download checked against a pinned SHA-256 hash.

Free games such as SkiFree and Panel Attack can run immediately after installation. Commercial game ports install only the engine. You still need to supply your own files before the game appears, and MiniMart does not download that game data.

A new Updates screen checks daily and lets you update individual apps or everything together. Install pages also show available SD card space.

MiniTop now lists folders by size and offers cleanup options for caches, logs and macOS leftovers. Its duplicate ROM finder is to preserve the last copy and protect disc files referenced by CUE or M3U playlists.

Existing users should update MiniMart first, then open its Updates screen for the remaining apps. MiniFin is available under Apps. New users can extract minideck-all.zip from the MiniDeck releases to the SD card root, or install MiniMart separately and choose what they need.

Credit goes to zakijss for MiniDeck and its apps, and the original port developers whose projects MiniMart distributes. MiniDeck is independent of Miyoo and Jellyfin.
