Battle Oath, four brave heroes on Android
Battle Oath: Offline Party RPG is available on Google Play, promising real time party combat, 16 classes and a campaign across six lands. Developed under the Big Oath Games name, it lets you assemble a team of four and switch between heroes while the others keep fighting.
You move your selected character with a virtual stick and swap heroes to use their abilities. Party composition is the key, with tanks, healers and damage dealers filling the roles. Skills can also form elemental chains, opening opportunities for combos and extra damage instead of simply mashing the buttons.
Classes include Knights, Clerics and Rangers alongside some exotics like Necromancers, Sappers and Windrunners. The campaign moves through forests, deserts, haunted territory and a vampire domain, with bosses along the way.
Four is a crowd
Online co-op is also available, allowing up to four players to share control of the party. However, the developer describes this as a recent addition that has not been extensively tested.
Solo play is advertised as working offline without an account, but having one will give you QoL features like cloud saves. Battle Oath is free to download, with optional rewarded ads and in-app purchases.
