Swiff Updated to 1.3, Added J2ME and Scratch Games to Android
Swiff has received a major update with version 1.3.0, expanding the Android app beyond its original focus on Flash games.
The biggest addition is support for the original Adobe Flash Player through Winlator/FEX (ruffle is still supported). The update also adds J2ME and Scratch support, allowing you to play even more older games. Flashpoint Archive integration and the broader control/frontend features are in too.

Swiff 1.3.0 features
- Original Adobe Flash Player support through Winlator/FEX
- Ruffle support
- J2ME game support
- Scratch game support
- Access to more than 100,000 Flash games and animations through Flashpoint
- Gamepad-to-keyboard and mouse mapping
- On-screen keyboard and mouse controls
- Newgrounds integration with medal support
- HTML5 game support
- Offline proxy for games requiring their original website
- Save-file export and Syncthing support
- Android and frontend shortcuts
The original Swiff release was already an interesting proposition because it combined a large Flashpoint-powered library with proper Android controls and frontend integration. Instead of simply throwing an SWF player onto Android and calling it a day.
The 1.3.0 update pushes that idea further. J2ME support means Swiff is now reaching into the era of Java mobile phones, while Scratch add entire category altogether.
Swiff 1.3.0 is available now from the project’s GitHub repository.
