
Civilization VI on Android Gets Major Update and Expansions on June 12
Aspyr has announced a major content update for the Android version of Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, launching June 12. This long-awaited update brings Android to full content parity with all other versions of the game, including new features, maps, units, and game modes.
New Units, Maps, and Features
The update introduces new strategic layers with three additional units and four expansive maps, including:
- Three New Units: Trebuchet, Man-At-Arms, and Line Infantry
- Four New Maps: Mediterranean Large and Earth Huge, plus civ-specific starting point variants
- Game Modes: Tech & Civic Shuffle, and Barbarian Clans Mode
- New Tools: Natural Wonder and City-State Pickers
- Leader Selection Pool: Includes new leader Julius Caesar
- Bug Fixes: Over 50 fixes and balance improvements

Expansions Now on Android
Starting June 12, Android players can also expand their gameplay with two major DLC packs:
- New Frontier Pass ($29.99): Adds 8 civilizations, 9 leaders, and 6 new game modes
- Leader Pass ($19.99): Introduces 12 new leaders and alternate versions of existing ones
This update ensures that Civilization VI fans on Android can enjoy the complete strategic experience without limitations.
