Aerli turns paper planes into a traffic problem

Aerli: Paper Plane Puzzle is available on Android, with developer MingosLab describing the current release as a public beta. The idea is simple, all you have to do is tap paper planes in the right order to clear the board. Well, that’s the idea at least, problems come later when the game introduces new mechanics, and simple taping in order won’t work anymore.

Each plane follows a set route, so the challenge is deciding which paths need to stay open. The current Google Play listing describes 110 handcrafted levels across six worlds, introducing keys, locks, portals and different plane shapes. Some planes also rotate between flights, giving you another reason to think before tapping.

There is no countdown timer, and hints and undo let you reconsider a move. You can earn stars, chase Perfect Flight goals and tackle additional challenges, including Master challenges that unlock after completing the campaign.

MingosLab describes itself as a small indie studio. Google Play names Italian developer Simone Mingarelli as the publisher, whose catalogue also includes LeanAirplane. The team’s itch.io page discloses AI assistance with code, graphics, sounds and text.

Aerli is free to download and Google Play marks it as containing ads (although I didn’t see any when testing). If you like compact logic / puzzle games, give Aerli a spin.
