Torchlight: Infinite Launches New Season ‘Sandlord’ with Big Updates and Rewards

The new season of Torchlight: Infinite, called Sandlord, is officially live. This update brings a lot of new content for fans of the action RPG, focusing on smart planning, loot collection, and building your own empire in the sky.

At the heart of the new season is Cloud Oasis, a floating stronghold that players can grow and manage. To expand it, players need to collect resources from battles and assign workers across five professions. This setup adds more depth to the game, as you now balance combat and strategy to unlock rewards and bonuses.

A new version of the character Thea also joins the game. Known now as the Blasphemer, she trades light for darkness, dealing Erosion Damage that gets stronger as her blessings fade. She’s a solid pick for players who like damage-over-time builds and hunting down strong enemies.

The Netherrealm has been updated too, with five new areas that offer tougher enemies and more action. A new item called Probes can boost the rewards you get from these stages. They work like Compasses but have their own slot and add more difficulty to battles—ideal for those looking for high risk and high reward.

The season adds several Legendary Stages with unique challenges and loot, changing how players approach the late-game content.

There are also new zones like the Abyssal Vault, where you won’t face enemies but will find many Mystery Chests, and the Sea of Rites, filled with Goblins. Taking them down might summon a secret boss with better rewards. In another feature called Supreme Showdown, both players and bosses can use a new effect called Golden Gaze, which can instantly turn enemies into treasure.

To celebrate the game’s second anniversary, players can join the Sands of Fortune event. From April 17 at 7 PM PDT to May 1, 2025, completing in-game tasks gives players a chance to win part of a $250,000 prize pool. You can enter the draw on the official Torchlight website.
