Once Human Mobile Launches Worldwide with Survival Training Event Featuring Ed Stafford
NetEase Games and Starry Studio have officially released Once Human on iOS and Android. The game supports both cross-play and cross-progression, allowing players on different devices to team up and continue their progress across platforms. Alongside the mobile release, a new collaboration has been announced with survival expert Ed Stafford, who will host a themed training event linked to the game.
Supernatural Survival Gameplay on the Go
Set in a post-apocalyptic world filled with supernatural threats, Once Human challenges players to gather resources, build shelters, and uncover the truth behind a global collapse. Originally launched on PC, the game earned a spot among Steam’s top sellers and attracted hundreds of thousands of players. Now, with over 30 million mobile pre-registrations, the game is available to a global audience on mobile devices.
The mobile version introduces features aimed at making gameplay more accessible, including one-tap resource gathering and combat assistance, while maintaining the depth and structure of the PC version.
Launch Rewards and Customization Options
Players who log in during the launch period can claim rewards that include 16 Legendary blueprints, 11 rare in-game creatures called Deviations, and over 1,000 cosmetic items. These bonuses are designed to help new players get started and add personal flair to their in-game characters.
Join the Ed Stafford Survival Boot Camp
Ed Stafford, known for his real-life survival challenges, is partnering with Once Human to host a global training event. Players can apply to be part of a survival boot camp led by Stafford himself. Six participants will be selected for an in-person experience where they’ll learn real-world survival skills inspired by the game.
Upcoming Content: New Scenario and Features
New content is planned for the second and third quarters of 2025. This includes “Visional Wheel S1” and a PvE scenario called Endless Dream, expected to launch with the game’s anniversary update. The new mode introduces shifting environments, scalable difficulty, and flexible building mechanics that work outside player-owned areas. Progress is tied to in-game achievements, and player choices will shape different outcomes in the story.
Bonuses for Returning Players
Veteran players returning for the mobile launch will be eligible for additional rewards through daily check-ins and team-based activities. These include a special avatar, theme, and exclusive currency to unlock up to ten rewards. Returning users can also join fully populated servers, making it easier to reconnect with friends.
