Fairy Tail Invades AFK Journey in Huge New Event

A crossover event between AFK Journey and the anime Fairy Tail has launched. You can join characters Natsu and Lucy in a new storyline, complete in-game quests, and unlock rewards. The event is live as of May 1, 2025, and will run for 28 days on iOS, Android, and PC, so pick your poison (so to say).

Crossover Story

The event introduces an original story where Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia arrive in the world of Esperia through a mysterious portal. They are discovered by local characters Valen and Cassadee, who bring them to Merlin. The group sets off on a magical journey, helping Lucy recover a lost item while facing dangers together.

New Playable Characters

Two new dimensional faction heroes are now available:

Lucy Heartfilia: A Celestial Spirit Mage who uses Gate Keys to summon Zodiac spirits. She is a long-time member of the Fairy Tail guild and holds multiple Gold Keys.
Natsu Dragneel: Known as Salamander, Natsu is a Dragon Slayer Mage who controls fire-based attacks. His strong loyalty to his friends defines his role in both the guild and the story.

Limited-Time Event: Fairy Sonata

The event, titled Fairy Sonata, features new stages and quests. Players can team up with Natsu and Lucy to complete story missions and earn daily rewards. The content is open to all users on supported platforms during the event period.

Hero Introduction: Known as Salamander, Natsu is a Dragon Slayer Mage with a red guild mark on his right shoulder. His age remains a mystery, but his love for flames—and dislike for all transportation vehicles—are well known. Fearless and straightforward, he is a devoted member of Fairy Tail who always puts his friends first.

Natsu’s Skills:

Ultimate: Ultimate: Lightning Fire Dragon’s Roar/Fire Dragon King’s Roar.

In Lightning Fire Dragon Mode, Natsu deals damage based on his ATK to all enemies within a 3-tile frontal arc and stuns them briefly. In Fire Dragon King Mode, he deals even greater damage to all enemies within a 3-tile frontal arc. During battle preparation, you can choose between Lightning Fire Dragon Mode and Fire Dragon King Mode for Natsu. Lightning Fire Dragon Mode focuses on debuffing enemies, while Fire Dragon King Mode delivers higher damage.

Skill 2: Lightning Fire Dragon’s Iron Fist/Fire Dragon King’s Iron Fist.

In Lightning Fire Dragon Mode, Natsu deals damage based on his ATK to the enemy who has dealt the most cumulative damage, while reducing their Haste. The Haste reduction effect diminishes over time until it expires. In Fire Dragon King Mode, Natsu strikes an enemy within 1 tile, dealing damage to the target.

Skill 3: Fiery Ties

This skill triggers only once per battle after the first defeat of an ally. Fueled by rage, Natsu increases his ATK, Phys DEF, and Magic DEF. Additionally, if the allied Lucy is defeated, Natsu gains Crit and Crit DMG Boost bonuses.

Exclusive Skill: “Salamander” Natsu.

When Natsu deals damage, he reduces the target’s max HP. This effect does not apply to Bosses. At higher levels, the skill allows Natsu to continue reducing the target’s max HP as long as the target is under any debuff he inflicts.

Hero Introduction: Lucy, who bears a pink guild mark on her right hand, is a member of Fairy Tail, a mage guild based in Magnolia Town, Kingdom of Fiore. As a Celestial Spirit Mage, she wields Celestial Spirit Magic and uses Gate Keys to call out powerful Celestial Spirits in battle. She shares a deep bond with her spirits and possesses multiple Gold Keys, which allow her to call upon the Zodiac Spirits. After meeting Natsu, she joined Fairy Tail and has become an indispensable part of the guild.

Lucy’s Skills:

Ultimate: Celestial Spirit Summon

Lucy calls out Aquarius, a Celestial Spirit, to aid her in battle. Upon summoning, Aquarius creates a stream of water that strikes the area with the most enemies. This deals damage to all enemies within a 1-tile radius, briefly knocking them into the air and stunning them. Aquarius will continue to summon water streams at regular intervals.

Skill 2: Lucy Kick

Lucy delivers a powerful kick to the enemy who has dealt the most cumulative damage, dealing damage based on Lucy’s ATK and stunning them. After the kick, she returns to her original tile. Lucy remains unaffected while using this skill.

Skill 3: Star Dress: Aquarius Form

Lucy uses her Ultimate to transform into Aquarius for the rest of the battle, allowing her to summon streams of water during this state. This deals damage based on Lucy’s ATK to all enemies within a 1-tile radius, briefly knocking them into the air and stunning them.

Exclusive Skill: Water Barrier.

Both Aquarius and Lucy in the Aquarius form can cast this skill to grant a shield to the weakest ally for a certain duration. This skill is available at regular intervals. At higher levels, the Exclusive Skill also provides the shielded ally with extra Ranged DEF.
