Stella Sora Launches Closed Beta on PC and Android

Yostar’s new RPG Stella Sora has officially opened its closed beta test, which began on May 28 and will run through June 8. The limited-time test allows players to explore the continent of Nova, experience early gameplay features, and try out key modes like “Ascension” and “Menace Arena.” This test supports PC (Windows) and Android platforms. Payment systems are disabled, and all progress will be deleted after the test ends.

With over 2 million global pre-registrations already recorded, the game’s pre-registration campaign remains active on the official website.

Key Features in the Closed Beta

Players start their journey by choosing a Displayed Appearance, which affects how characters are presented in the story. This choice can be changed later and influences character artwork and in-game dialogue.

During the beta, players can meet up to 20 Traveler Maidens via recruitment. Each maiden comes with unique combat styles, personal stories, awakened illustrations, and memory features. Chapters 1 and 2 of the main storyline are available to preview, with Chinese and Japanese voiceovers added in select scenes. While Live2D animations are still being polished, this test version offers a broad look at the game’s direction.

Ascension and Tactical Progression

The Ascension mode introduces Monolith Exploration, a gameplay system built around procedural floor layouts and increasing difficulty. Players form teams of three Trekkers to explore these Monoliths, gaining random bonuses as they climb.

Strategic decision-making becomes essential during random encounter events. These high-stakes moments require careful resource management and combat planning. Customized squad profiles can be saved after each run and reused in future missions. Players are encouraged to adjust their formations to match stage conditions, such as elemental traits and battlefield challenges.
