Pokémon TCG Pocket Introduces Celestial Guardians Expansion with Alola Region Debut

The Pokémon Company has announced the upcoming Celestial Guardians expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app, launching globally on April 30, 2025. This digital update adds Pokémon from the Alola region, first seen in the Pokémon Sun and Moon video games.

The expansion features two new digital booster packs, headlined by Solgaleo and Lunala, and introduces cards for the region’s starter Pokémon: Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio. Players can collect these cards through booster packs or by using the app’s wonder pick function.

Starting May 1, new customization options will also be available, including a Rowlet-themed binder cover and display board, allowing players to showcase their collections in style.

To celebrate the release, a special drop event will take place from April 30 to May 13. During this period, players can complete solo battles to earn Rayquaza ex promo cards. Additional special missions will run until May 29, offering another Rayquaza ex promo, accessories, and other rewards.

Fans can check out the official trailer for Celestial Guardians on the official Pokémon YouTube channel.
