Orna Launches NatureBlight Event with Animal Guardians

Northern Forge Studios is launching NatureBlight on May 30 in Orna: the GPS RPG. This new in-game event continues the Terra’s Legacy storyline and blends fantasy with real-world environmental themes. Running until June 14, the event is part of the Green Game Jam 2025, organized by the Playing for the Planet Alliance.

Travel the World with Animal Guardians

In NatureBlight, players will visit real-world locations through Orna’s fantasy lens. Each stop introduces an animal guardian that reflects local environmental issues from deforestation in Canada to coral bleaching in Oceania.

Players will meet:

• The Beaver in Prince Edward County, Canada
• Coral Reef in Oceania
• Mountain Gorilla in Uganda
• Bone Mammoth in France
• Giant Tortoise in Ecuador
• Giant Panda in China
• Macaroni Penguin in Antarctica

These journeys reveal how Terran civilizations impacted their environment, mirroring our own ecological challenges.

Battle the Murk and Earn New Followers

Players will take on pollution-themed monsters and Murk Raids across multiple tiers. Quests and battles offer a chance to earn Animal Guardian followers who will stay with players even after the event ends.

The event also includes a NatureBlight in-app purchase pack, created in partnership with PlanetPlay. It features eco-themed character sprites and cosmetics, with 50% of proceeds supporting reforestation efforts in Indonesia.
