Android Open Beta Games you should try – September 2022

Sometimes it’s fun to try games in development. Because Google rarely suggests this feature, here is a list of Android Open Beta Games that you should try. Hidden gem or flop waiting to happen? You be the judge of that.

Magic vs. Metal

The story begins when a meteor strikes the earth and decimates the mankind. From the ashes rise two factions, one biological and one mechanical. Naturally, they hate each other – therefore carnage is inevitable.

You can choose to play with one hand in portrait mode (RTS) or two hands in landscape (3rd person shooter). Whatever you choose, you will be greeted with a massive campaign and plenty of heroes to choose from in a full 3D environment.

Magic vs. Metal is in Open Beta on the Google Play Store right now.

Dark Hunter: Idle RPG

Next on the list is a game for the Idle genre lovers. End of the world is here, demons are here, but humans are here as well. Choose and combine a party from the six characters (for now) and face the darkness. Along the way, find new equipment and upgrade your skills. Hint: there are bosses too.

Dark Hunter: Idle RPG is in Open Beta and can be downloaded freely. No energy limits.

Monster Duo: onet board puzzle

It’s a Mahjong game! Except it has vibrant colors, ton of collectables and lots and lots of levels. The rules are quite simple. Find the matching pictures and pair them. Pair is only valid if connects by THREE or less straight lines. This is the cardinal rule of this game.

Monster Duo is a fun casual game, but if you need a bit more motivation to give it a go, there is a story inside too. I am not going to spoil it, so just check it out.

Perfect Grind

If skating is life or you just want to try it on your phone, Perfect Grind is the game for you. Play with one finger only, unlock stuff, learn tricks and enjoy the cartoony graphics. Once you get bored, fire up the built-in editor create your own park and share it with friends. Or start customizing your character.

Perfect Grind is in Early Access on the Google Play store and already has 100k+ downloads.

Hades’ Star: DARK NEBULA

A direct sequel (or stand alone addon) to Hade’s Star. A 4X game (Explore, Expand, Exploit, Exterminate) that captured the hearts of millions. According to the developer, DARK NEBULA is the next evolution of the Hades galaxy.

You can either start a new journey, or continue developing your old empire from the previous game. There is a catch however. If I understand correctly, when this game is out of early access/open beta, all progress will be deleted. Soooo… invest your time responsibly.

Mech Tactics: Fusion Guards

It’s time for the last game from this list. Mech Tactics: Fusion Guards is a tactical RPG that will appeal to everyone that loves Mechs.

There are campaign story missions, weekly and live events, guilds, asynchronous PvP battles, guilds and much more. You can customize your mechs with various gear, including advanced weaponry. If you take part in weekly quests or unique events, you will be rewarded accordingly.

That’s all folks

This concludes my “Android Open Beta Games you should try” list for September 2022. If I missed something, or you know a game that is in Open Beta and you think it should be on this list, let me know in the comments.

One more thing. If you decide to try out some of the games listed here, try to submit your feedback to the developers. As a former one, I know they will appreciate it. You can find the contact info on the Google Play store for that particular game.
