Albion Online Abyssal Depths Update Arrives June 30

Albion Online is expanding once again with the Abyssal Depths update, arriving June 30 on Android and iOS. This major content drop introduces a new dungeon based PvP mode called the Depths. These cursed aqueducts are made for small teams, challenging players with fast-paced fights, collapsing floors and a final treasure vault guarded by enemies and rival adventurers. The new Orange PvP rules make things less punishing by risking only your inventory, not your gear.

The update also debuts the Antiquarian’s Den, a central hub for all things infernal. Located in every Royal City and Caerleon, it connects players directly to the Depths, Corrupted Dungeons, and Hellgates. Faster matchmaking, direct bank access, and seamless re-entry keep the action moving.

New Player Experience and Rewards Overhaul

New to Albion? The early-game journey has been reworked to help players start strong. A new tutorial system inside the Albion Journal lets players choose between Adventurer, Duelist or Merchant paths. These tracks introduce game systems gradually and reward progress with meaningful items.

The update also brings a new Character Progression Journal category focused on mastering the Destiny Board. Meanwhile, Learning Points now work through a Quick Learn system, letting players boost their progression by trading points for extra Fame gains over time.

Hell Rewards, Spider Mounts and Crystal Weapons

By progressing through the Depths and other infernal content, players build Antiquarian Standing, unlocking themed rewards like avatar cosmetics, Demon Cape crests, and two new spider mounts: the Hellspinner and the rarer Soulspinner.

Combatants will also find two Crystal Weapons:

Truebolt Hammer: A shock-infused weapon that protects allies and disrupts enemies.
Stillgaze Staff: A shapeshifting weapon that lets players become a Crystal Cobra with petrifying powers.

The UI gets a noticeable upgrade too. Trackers are now combined into a single adaptive HUD element. The Marketplace interface is reorganized for better browsing, with controller support and new filters. Vanity gear now shows how and where to unlock it, making collecting easier than ever.
