Neverness to Everness Containment Test Begins
Hotta Studio has kicked off the Containment Test for Neverness to Everness (NTE), the upcoming supernatural urban open-world RPG set in the sprawling city of Hethereau. While beta signups have closed, players can still gain access from July 3 to 7 by watching select Twitch streams with linked accounts.
New Areas and Features Unlocked
The test expands the playable map with two new districts:
- Herland District: A financial zone filled with skyscrapers and high-stakes Anomaly Hunter rivalries.
- Miguel District: A scenic tourist area known for its parks, landmark towers and unexpected dangers.
Players take on the role of an Appraiser, an unlicensed Anomaly Hunter tasked with patrolling Hethereau, managing threats and investigating the surreal behavior of the city’s Anomalies.
Gameplay enhancements include:
- Freeform Exploration: Use various vehicles to traverse the city and explore at your own pace.
- Urban Risk System: Committing crimes escalates wanted levels, leading to increasing citywide pursuit.
- Street Racing Multiplayer: Join crews and dominate local districts in competitive street races.
- Dynamic World: Real-time weather and a day-night cycle change both the look and feel of the city. Snowfall is rendered with real-time PBR and subsurface scattering effects to reflect lifelike detail.
About the Game
NTE offers a deep mix of RPG storytelling, urban lifestyle sim, and open-world exploration. Beyond containing Anomalies, players can customize homes, collect cars and even build businesses, all while navigating episodic storylines rich in supernatural intrigue and humor.
