Free Fire Unveils New Solara Map for 8th Anniversary

Free Fire is celebrating its 8th anniversary with the launch of Solara, its first new map in three years. Arriving on May 21, 2025, Solara introduces a fresh setting filled with futuristic design, new gameplay systems, and limited-time rewards.

A Fresh Setting with Tactical Opportunities

Solara is a 1,400m x 1,400m map blending vibrant biomes with a near-future architectural style. It features multiple zones, including The Hub, Bloomtown, and Studio, offering players different ways to approach each match. A twin-peak mountain anchors the map’s center, surrounded by modernist structures inspired by sci-fi aesthetics.

New Features in Solara

Several new systems have been added to enhance gameplay:

  • Slide Transport System: Lets players move quickly across regions. Features like Gloo Wall shields and enemy detection through color shifts offer tactical advantages.
  • Dynamic Weather: Lighting transitions from day to dusk during a match, affecting visibility and atmosphere.
  • Interactive Zones: Players can discover Easter eggs and secrets like the horse statue at Riders Club, an underground chamber in Delta Isle, and the Kelly Show scene at TV Tower.

Players can also collect 8th Anniversary Tokens in these areas for a limited time.

Solarush! Limited-Time Event

To celebrate Solara’s launch, Free Fire introduces Solarush!, a special in-game event with daily and milestone tasks. Completing these will unlock event-themed rewards like a skyboard, parachute, animated emote, and more.

Solara was first showcased during the Free Fire World Series Southeast Asia 2025 on May 16, offering fans an early look at the map.
