Destiny: Rising Launches August 28 on Mobile

NetEase Games has announced that Destiny: Rising, a free-to-play mobile RPG set in an alternate timeline of the Destiny universe, will officially launch on August 28 for iOS and Android. Pre-orders are now available for free on both platforms.

The game introduces a new generation of Lightbearers in a story that unfolds before the events of the original Destiny. Players will be able to explore fresh lore while enjoying familiar looter-shooter gameplay, now optimized for mobile devices. Destiny: Rising features a mix of solo, co-op and PvP content, including six-player PvE activities, open world objectives and all-new game modes.

Play as the Wolf or Destiny Legends

In Destiny: Rising, players take on the role of the Wolf, a fully customizable Lightbearer who fights with the power of a personal Relic. Players can also step into the boots of iconic characters such as Ikora Rey and Iron Lord Jolder, each equipped with signature abilities.

Weapons can be mixed and matched across characters, with customizable Primary and Power options. A new Mythic-tier gear rarity and a fresh weapon class have been added, giving players more loot to chase than ever before.

The game’s pre-registration campaign has already passed 5 million sign-ups, unlocking launch rewards that include 10 free draws for all players. More rewards will be added as milestones are reached, so registering early ensures players get the best head start.
