S4GE, a free to play/premium strategy game for mobile
London based video game company, Playtra, releases its first video game for mobile on iOS and Android. S4GE is a strategy RPG with a single player main campaign. In a market where every game focus on multiplayer and in-app-purchases, Playtra decided to give something different. S4GE is, indeed, a free to play experience with a premium structure like the classic games for the console of the 16 and 32 bits era.
“S4GE is a little gem that we developed as an experiment, as a stress test for the team before moving to the first commercial project” says Dan Bernardo, CEO of Playtra, “and instead of killing it, we decided to give it away to the community as a Thank You for their support.”
About The Game
S4GE is a turn-based Tactical Strategy game with hexagonal battlefield. The player controls 4 units archetype: the mystic, the soldier, the trickster and the healer. All of them have unique skills and can be used in smart ways against enemies or to flee from dangerous situations. In the battlefield, players will find stones, called shards. They will deal damage to units nearby and can be broken to receive power-ups. There are 14 levels in total, 12 are locked and 2 are hidden. The player must complete the game with the highest score in order to unlock the last 2 levels. The progression will bring the player from levels that takes 3 minutes to finish to boss level with over 20 minutes of intense gameplay.
