Roar Rampage debuts on Android and iOS

Roar Rampage was originally a browser Flash game developed by Neutronized, but it’s been ported to Android and iOS using a lightweight 2D engine. The game runs smoothly on both iOS and Android platforms, even on older devices, thanks to its minimal resource demand and optimized sprite-based rendering.

Roar Rampage puts you in control of a Godzilla-like kaiju, stomping and punching your way through cities in a 2D side scrolling spectacle. But this isn’t just wanton destruction for destruction’s sake. Okay, maybe it is, but it’s packaged with satisfying physics, snappy controls, and a wacky sense of humor.

No Deep Lore, Just Destruction

Roar Rampage doesn’t pretend to be deep. It’s a quick-hit dopamine delivery system, perfect for short bursts of fun. It’s easy to pick up, and nearly impossible to put down once you get into the rhythm of wreckage.

There’s no convoluted story or epic saga, just a simple premise: You’re mad. The city’s in your way. Fix that.

The destructible environment isn’t fully physics simulated, but key structures have breakpoints that respond to force vectors from the punch, creating a satisfying sense of cause and effect.

The only downside is that you don’t have full control over the arm, instead you are limited to tapping the screen. A bit of a letdown really, as touchscreens are perfectly capable of interacting with finger-vector movements.
