MythWalker Introduces Co-Op Tethering and New Fairy Enemies

NantGames has launched a new update for MythWalker, the mobile geolocation RPG. The update brings a feature called Tethering, allowing players to explore the game world together even from different parts of the globe. Along with this, new fairy-like creatures known as Wyldevae have appeared in the world of Mytherra.

Tethering lets up to three players join forces, with two players syncing to one “lead” friend’s location. Whether you’re in New York, Tokyo, or anywhere else, you can explore the same in-game region as your lead friend. Together, the group can complete quests, fight enemies, and collect resources, with better rewards offered for full teams.

Meet the Wyldevae: Magical but Dangerous

This update also introduces the Wyldevae, mysterious creatures that blend beauty and danger. These fairies drop unique rewards and powers when defeated. There are three types:

  • Bergavae – Found in mountains and resemble moths
  • Strandavae – Island dwellers with fish-like traits
  • Fennavae – Swamp creatures that look like dragonflies

New story quests tied to the Wyldevae give players a deeper look into their origins and purpose in Mytherra.

Expanding the World of Mytherra

The latest content builds on the April update, which added 20+ quests. Players visited real-world locations like Stonehenge, gained temporary allies like hobgoblins, and explored the history of groups like the Pirates and Drakates.

The game’s creative director, Jesse Snyder, said that Tethering marks a major step forward, with more updates on the way to keep players connected and the world of MythWalker growing.
