Asphalt 8: Airborne is here
After missing the new Nexus release date and pushing the game release even further, Gameloft finally decided to finish the game and unleash it in public. The new Asphalt 8: Airborne features all-new aerial stunts, high speed crashes and some pretty pretty graphics.
Make no mistake, Asphalt 8 is a pure arcade racer and you should probably say bye bye to the laws of physics even before installing the game. Apart from the new stunts, Asphalt 8 features 47 high performance licensed cars from all the big names like Lamborghini Veneno, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FXX and Pagani Zonda R all of them rendered quite nicely with plenty of lighting and other visual effects, including the detailed damage system.
You will race across 9 different settings and lots of tracks in the career mode. The game offers 8 seasons and 180 events to keep you busy, and if you feel like getting some competition you can always fire up the simultaneous multiplayer mode and face up to 8 human opponents, or you can try to beat your friend’s score by racing against their “ghost” car in the asynchronous mode. Asphalt 8: Airborne fully supports achievements and global leaderboards.
The game costs $0.99, but features optional IAPs so it’s neither freemium nor premium, something in between. The game already receives positive user feedback on the Play Store, especially praising the detailed graphics, although there were some complaints about lag on certain devices.
