A Space for the Unbound launched for iOS

High school is ending, and everything is changing.

A Space for the Unbound by Mojiken is a narrative focused adventure game that was released for all platforms back in 2023, all except for Android and iOS. Now, a part of that mistake is fixed as the publisher announced that the game is already on Apple’s app store (sadly, no word for the Android version yet).

Set in a quiet Indonesian town during the late 1990s. With a pixel art style and a calm pace, it follows the story of two teenagers, Atma and Raya, as they navigate the last days of school and the uncertainties that come with growing up.

The game introduces a mix of real life emotions and subtle supernatural elements. Atma and Raya face not just typical teenage struggles, but also mysterious powers that begin to affect their world. As strange events unfold around them, the two explore their town, uncover hidden stories, and try to understand both the situation and their own feelings.

Players walk through detailed environments that reflect small-town Indonesia, talk to locals, and piece together different parts of the story. There’s even a feature that lets you step into people’s minds, adding another layer to how the story is told.

What the Game Offers:

  • A look back at Indonesia in the 1990s, with a focus on daily life in rural areas
  • A chance to explore a quiet town while experiencing a story filled with emotion and mystery
  • Conversations with townspeople, each with their own stories and memories
  • A mechanic that lets players dive into characters’ minds and thoughts
  • An original soundtrack by Masdito “Ittou” Bachtiar that supports the mood of each scene

A Space for the Unbound doesn’t rush. It allows time to think, explore, and connect. As Atma and Raya search for answers, players are invited to reflect on change, mental health, and the strength of relationships.
