The Shadow Sun for Android enters open beta
Ossian Studios announced that the Android version of their famous iOS fantasy rpg game, The Shadow Sun, is ready to be beta-tested by the community. This beta is focused on testing the game performance on large variety of Android devices.
About the game
The Shadow Sun was released on the iOS platform in December 2013 after being in development for almost 3 years. The development team standing behind this western dark fantasy RPG title gathered their experience by working on triple A RPG franchises of “Neverwinter Nights” and “The Witcher”. The Shadow Sun is their attempt to bring PC/console RPG experience on mobile platforms and considering the number of positive reviews they got from around the world, it was a success.
The Shadow Sun is a dark, heroic fantasy RPG that combines the classic adventure of Dungeons & Dragons, the fear of otherworldly horrors of H.P. Lovecraft, and the grim sword and sorcery of Conan the Barbarian. Rendered in full 3D graphics using the Unity engine, the game offers a deep, single-player role-playing experience with a gripping story, important player choices, dynamic NPC dialogues, and multiple ways of solving quests. Do battle against the strange creatures native to Shar and unspeakable horrors not of this world in real-time, visceral combat like The Witcher 2, using a dozen different weapon types, special melee attacks, powerful magical spells, and deadly traps.
