Roller Coaster Tycoon Touch celebrates the One Year Anniversary

Atari celebrates the one year Anniversary of the touch optimized RollerCoaster version of the popular franchise. In spirit of the celebration, there is also a new update that makes it easier to acquire new cards, locate attractions and complete weekly objectives. According to Atari, the game enjoys huge success with over 119.5 million missions completed since September and over 40,000 roller coasters designed every day.

The new update finally brings the Helipad landmark, a feature that unlocks at level 50 and allows you to order specific cards every day. Among other features is the new “copy” button that can speed up coaster designs and an “Item Locator” that will locate misplaced attractions. Weekly coaster challenges and refresh to the game’s mission system are live as well.

 

 

Just to be clear, the anniversary celebration is for Roller Coaster Tycoon Touch and not for RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile or RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic from the same developer. RCT Touch is a free to play game with in-app purchases, online interactions, social features and card packs. So, pretty much the opposite of RCT Classic that is a mobile port of RCT 1 and 2 from PC.

In Short

-The Heliport is now operational! Order specific cards every day! Unlock it at level 50.
-To design or decorate your park more efficiently, use the “buy more” option to place a new copy on an item next to the one you just bought
-If you’ve forgotten where you placed an attraction, the item locator will find it for you.
-Weekly coaster challenges now start with a series of easier objectives, and the difficulty will only increase as you progress in mastery.
