Resident Evil Survival Unit is a new mobile strategy game from Aniplex and JOYCITY, set to launch in 2025. Unlike the main series, this title takes the franchise in a different direction with real-time tactics and a strong focus on base-building and strategic planning.

A Fresh Take on the Resident Evil Formula

The game unfolds in a parallel universe where the player wakes up in a locked hospital after being subjected to Umbrella Corporation experiments. As the story progresses, familiar characters like Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield and Jill Valentine make their return, but with a unique twist on their roles and relationships.

Players will manage a mansion that serves as a central base. The base includes interactive interiors, character dialogue events and the iconic Weapons Merchant from the series. You’ll need to purchase items, plan your next moves and craft strategies to stay alive.

Combat and Creature Design

Resident Evil Survival Unit features real-time defense battles where players must think on their feet to defeat waves of enemies. Each character brings specific abilities to help turn the tide in combat. Notably, famed artist Yoshitaka Amano has designed a new original creature called Mortem, bringing a psychological edge to the enemy lineup.

Pre-registration is now open on the App Store and Google Play. The game promises global multiplayer gameplay with cross-region interaction and a focus on tactical depth.
