New Story Quests Arrive in MythWalker with Latest Update
NantGames has rolled out a major update to its geolocation RPG MythWalker, adding over 20 new story quests for both iOS and Android players. These quests provide fresh content to the popular game, expanding the world of Mytherra with new challenges, rewards, and opportunities for exploration.
What’s New
One standout feature of this update is the addition of a quest that teleports players to a specific landmark. While the details remain a surprise, it’s suggested that players create a Portal at the location to revisit it later and explore the local myths tied to the place. The update also continues MythWalker’s accessibility focus with the Tap-to-Move feature, which allows players to navigate the map without physically moving, a helpful option for those looking to enjoy the game from the comfort of home.
Completing the new quests will earn players experience points (XP) and rewards, providing opportunities to strengthen their gear and magical abilities. These enhancements will prove valuable as they delve deeper into the main storyline.
One of the key storylines in this update explores the Drakates, a mysterious and formidable group of lizard-like creatures found throughout Mytherra. The quests shed light on the origins and motivations of these creatures, who have evolved into a variety of specialized warriors, spellcasters, and technicians. The Drakates play a significant role in the unfolding events of MythWalker.
In addition to the Drakates, players will assist storekeeper Madra “Mads” Maclachlan with protecting the supplies moving through the city of Hyport. Hyport serves as the main hub for players, where they can engage in various activities that aid their adventures. Mads has enlisted the help of a group of Hobs, a mischievous Goblin tribe with a knack for practical jokes and explosives. As reliable as they are unpredictable, players will need to guide these allies through dangerous situations involving bandits and monsters.
To celebrate the new content, the MythWalker team will be at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books on April 26-27, held at the University of Southern California campus. Attendees will have the chance to play the game, pick up a bookmark featuring popular MythWalker characters, and participate in other giveaways.
