Hollywhoot: Idle Hollywood Parody Quick Review

A brand new game just got launched on Android and iOS today, Hollywhoot: Idle Hollywood Parody by Joyseed Gametribe. Are you ready to become the next Blockbuster Director and make that Movie Masterpiece we’ve been waiting for? If yes, just go ahead and check this one out, the developers are claiming that this is The Most Hilarious Hollywood Parody Game You Should Not Miss.

Hollywhoot: Idle Hollywood Parody

Hollywhoot: Idle Hollywood Parody is primarily a management game with heavy emphasis on idling and tapping. The premise is simple. You are a young ambitious (and almost broke) director in Hollywhoot with only one goal in his mind – to get rich by directing movies. Unfortunately, you will have to start at the bottom. Rent your first studio, hire the cheapest actor you can find, choose your first genre and start rolling.

Once you tap “start”, things will get in motion. Cameras will roll, actors will act and you will yell and tap your screen to speed up the production (yelling is optional). Once complete, it will have to face the harsh eyes of the critics and collect the profits. It will probably be a failure, but instead of giving up, you will spend the earned money in hiring additional actors or improving the one you already hired. There are three skills that you can improve. Physical, Charisma and Acting. Each point spent will up the level of the actor itself and once it reaches a certain point, you can evolve it to something new, something fresh like…. James Bean. A bizzare combination of James Bond and Mr. Bean.

This is just an example, there are many parodied characters and even TV Shows. Unlike the movies, TV shows are on auto pilot and can generate income on their own. The first two shows you can buy are “The Sampsons” and “The Sleeping Dead” which can be further upgraded to improve their yield of cash, even when the game is closed.

Hollywhoot: Idle Hollywood Parody is a fresh take on the ever so popular “Idle Genre”. Instead of trying to make a game with battles, monsters and giant swords, the developers decided to take a slightly different road. Graphics are great and yes, the game is fun to play. The decision to include parodied characters instead of fictional ones is spot on which only adds on the already bright atmosphere.

Hollywhoot: Idle Hollywood Parody is free to play on both Android and iOS. There are some ads you can watch to reduce movie shooting time and there are optional in-app purchases. Booster packs and special deals are running from time to time and if you want to support the developers, you can get one of these. Google Play Services are fully integrated, including achievements. If you like the idea of directing your own movie, unlocking genres and training actors, follow the link below and download the game from the Play Store, or check out the trailer first. One thing worth mentioning in the end is that Hollywhoot: Idle Hollywood Parody will happily run in offline mode, but you will lose the opportunity to speed up shooting by watching ads.
