Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run arrives on the Play Store. Instead of taking our reptile heroes in glorious battles, “MTV Networks” decided to make them run instead. The game follows the new timeline of the show currently airing on Nickelodeon.
TMNT: Rooftop Run is not really a brand new game, as it has been available on the iTunes for quite some time now, but MTV decided that Android users should not be deprived from experiencing all the excitement and ported the game over. Running, jumping, collecting orbs and pretty much everything real turtles can’t do (hey, they are mutants!) will keep you occupied while trying to purge New York from all evil, once and for all.
Fierce Ninja combat moves can be performed by using the time based one-touch controls (tap here, tap there) to kick some evil behinds on your marry way. Our green heroes can also activate
Bullet-Time sorry, Turtle-Time to fight the battles in slow-motion and pull off even more Ninja moves out of their err…shells. The energy orbs you collect act as a currency that can be used to upgrade your weapons, gadgets and other kind of boosts.
Heist In A Half Shell
The iOS version of the game received mixed to positive reviews and is holding 70/100 metacritic score at the moment. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run will set you back for $3.99 initially, but features IAP’s as well in case you don’t opt-out and block them altogether. And now, to state the obvous: TMNT: Rooftop Run is an endless runner type of game.
